SUCCESS STRATEGIES THAT CAN BE APPLIED TO ANYTHING
Are you considering making a real estate move now or in the near future? Have you considered the consequences of following through on such a decision? A real estate investment for many is one of the largest investments made in one’s life. The stress and anxiety resulting from such a decision can be enough to cause regret for even the toughest contenders out there. I know firsthand as a competitor for my first upcoming Athletic Fitness competition that going it alone would not result in the excitement and anticipation that I feel today just two days away from this event. Had I attempted to venture on my own into this journey two months ago when first ask by my friend Sandra to train with her, I would have quickly changed my mind and quit. Having support in both our biggest life’s decision along with even the smallest ones can be the trustiest secret to our success.
The kind of support I think about is not just that of a caring friend’s listening ear or their loving hugs when feeling down. The gratitude that I feel when receiving such support elevates my self-esteem and increases my steam to continue moving in my life’s direction. It can also be the support from our network of friends, associates and colleagues. I find it quite amazing to see how people do care deeply about others when mentioning to them in casual conversation an endeavor I am about to take. The positive affirmation of their excitement for my decision is truly a gift. I feel it when I work with clients and have just recently shared with new out-of-town clients how excited I was to see thru their eyes their first experience of this magnificent city Victoria, BC that I get to call my home. When working with such clients my passion for living in such a vibrant city is reignited.
Enthusiasm is contagious and must be shared. Connecting on a human level first and foremost is what I strive to do in my business and as a result of the support I experience from others I want to pass it on in my life and my business. As we go along our journey and come to those turning points in our life where a decision is made and then action is inevitable ‘going it alone’ can be a lonely way to go. It takes restraint to not say no and quit but to say YES! and act. This starts with an act of courage to accept change in our life. We do not have to go it alone nor should we. Would you perform surgery on yourself if an expert surgeon is the best way to go? I believe the support of our friends, colleagues and associates is the secret to success in our decision processes.
I strive to contribute to the existing support system that our communities need in order to grow and progress into a system of living that values considering our whole Human family, and one that acknowledges that we are more alike than we are different. What we value and how we learn can be very much cultural and dependent on our current environment; however, understanding, compassion and care is universal. The guidance from those that have trudged similar paths in their own decision making or even from those experts that have learned how to assist someone else with their needs is crucial and that brings me back to the reason I want to share my gratitude for my upcoming success in this competition. I would not have the competence or optimism to believe I am a winner if I did not trust the knowledge and experience of those who are guiding me through the intense training, scientific diet and pre-contest routines. Say YES! to success by allowing people who can and want to assist you along the way into your life. It has always worked for me and it is a decision that helps me stick to all my other life transforming choices.
